A beacon of hope for young mothers. Turning her own story into a lifeline of compassion, empowerment, love and lasting change for those who need it most.

"Every mother deserves access to the resources and support she needs to bring life into this world with dignity. Advocacy for maternal health isn’t just about survival, it’s about ensuring that every mother and baby have the opportunity to thrive."

Spring 2025

"What happens when a pregnant teen has no home, no healthcare, and no support?"

In No Place to Belong, Thana Hickman delves into the harsh realities faced by homeless, pregnant teens. Through powerful storytelling, Thana highlights the community and social factors that push these teens to the margins of society, from avoiding prenatal care due to fear of judgment to exchanging their bodies for food or shelter. Thana encourages readers to reconsider societal attitudes and acknowledges that the time has come to harness the power of community to help end cycles of preventable despair.
